Hayes says that even if the information is not about you but someone with the same name, to mention it so hiring managers know you are aware that there may be a misperception.
The Role of Networking Hayes Reilly finds that the information he obtains online about candidates acts as a springboard for learning even more. ?The candidate?s associations and affiliations will help me determine if there is someone we know in common. I can then call that person and get some additional feedback on the candidate,? says Reilly.
